Why no e-Bikes?

Unfortunately for this trial the Environment and Infrastructure committee have made it a condition that e-bikes are not permitted. We appreciate that this will be disappointing for our members who ride ebikes.  We do ask that members respect this condition. If this trial is successful we will be able to establish a  base line of the effects of riding analog bikes on the trails.  If we then repeat the trial in Autumn 2025 and request ebike inclusion and then dispel the myths that ebikes create more trail erosion.

We hope that all of our members respect the conditions of the trial but sometimes things go wrong. If you feel that someone is breaking the rules please email guernseymountainbike@gmail.com with details of the incident including time/date, location and riders helmet sticker number - we will investigate and if necessary remove that members license.
